Security Beefs Up, Streets Shut Down Ahead of the Golden Globes

Security is gearing up for Sunday's Golden Globes.

Fears are especially acute following the San Bernardino terror attack and the stage invader who managed to get on stage at the People's Choice Awards this week.

Security personnel at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, where the show will take place, have already started closing down streets and the Beverly Hills Police Department is making its presence felt.

Speaking to INSIDE EDITION, Lorenzo Soria, the president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which organizes the evening, told any would-be stage crasher: "Don't even think of trying it."

Lou Palumbo, from Elite Intelligence and Protection, handled security at the Golden Globes for many years. He recounted some of the measures that were in place when he was on the job. 

"We cut back the number of access points, we call them choke points. Metal detectors were in place. We had a tremendous amount of support from the FBI," he said.
