He had been covered by a blanket and was sitting at a median when officials arrived. He was not struck in any way and he was not harmed, witnesses told deputies.

The child’s father reportedly told deputies that he was in the bathroom at their home when his son, who was alone in the living room, used his little chair to reach the front door’s locks and left.

When the dad saw the door open, he immediately went out to search for his son, WFTS wrote.

The man set out on bicycle and made his way toward Highway 19, where he saw vehicles surrounding his son. He approached and took custody of his child.
