“Gideon mentioned that she is married. [Another nurse] said, ‘No, she's not. She really wants to be, and she has a boyfriend that she is hoping will ask her very soon,’” said Sosy.

“All of the nurses told us the same thing, so apparently she has talked about this with her nursing buddies,” she said.

One of the nurses then jokingly asked Gideon, who is battling leukemia, if he’d propose to Sarah.

So Gideon stepped up to the plate.

“He said, ‘I'll marry her!’ He said it so enthusiastically. It was funny!” said Sosy.

“This was all just a fun thing to do and pass time while we were stuck in the hospital. We never thought our silly video would be interesting to so many people.”

Gideon’s family has set up a GoFundMe page to help with his medical costs.

So when’s the big event? “No wedding date,” laughed Sosy.
