Taylor Swift Takes Shot at Kanye During Speech: 'People Will Try to Take Credit For Your Fame'

During her big "Album of the Year" speech, Taylor Swift took a jab at Kanye West.

While accepting the Grammy for “Album of the Year” for her record, 1989, Taylor Swift took her moment to take a not-so-subtle shot at Kanye West.

“I want to say to all the young women out there: There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame.

“But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going, you’ll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be the greatest feeling in the world. Thank you for this moment."

After her swipe at West, the rapper tweeted:

All positive energy

Her remark comes after West premiered his new album, The Life of Pablo, in New York City on Thursday. One song contains the line: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ I made that b**** famous” in his song “Famous.”

In a Twitter rant on Friday, Kanye claimed Taylor Swift had approved of the line in an "hour long" conversation.

But Swift's spokesperson shared a statement via writer Jon Caramanica denying the claim.

Kanye and Taylor Swift famously feuded at the 2009 MTV VMAs when he interrupted her on stage as she was accepting an award. The two seemed to have made up at last year’s VMAs when she introduced him as the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Winner.
