Red Carpet Is Rolled Out for the Oscars As Final Preparations Get Underway

It's a frenzy of last-minute activity on Hollywood Boulevard.

The red carpet was rolled out at The Dolby Theater in Hollywood for Sunday’s Academy Awards.

There was a frenzy of last-minute activity as Hollywood Boulevard was transformed into Oscar central.
Forecasters predict 79 degrees for Sunday.

While organizers hope the event will go off without a hitch, there has been much controversy over the lack of diversity among the nominees.

Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx jokingly mocked the controversy when he took the stage at the American Black Film Festival Awards on Sunday.

He told actors of color who are threatening to boycott the ceremony over the #OscarsSoWhite controversy that they need to #ActBetter to win awards.

According to Page Six, Foxx joked: "Me and Denzel [Washington] were like ‘#WhatsTheBigDeal? #ActBetter."

Washington, like Foxx, has previously won an Oscar.
