Natalie Portman Films JFK Funeral Scene For 'Jackie' Movie

The actress stars as Jackie Kennedy in the new film, which is out next year.

 Natalie Portman is taking on the role of Jackie Kennedy in Jackie, the highly-anticipated biopic that follows the First Lady's life immediately after the assassination of her husband, John F. Kennedy.

The Oscar winner was in Washington, D.C. filming a scene that recreated one of the saddest days in American history – JFK’s funeral.

Actor Peter Sarsgaard has assumed the role of Robert Kennedy for the movie, which filmed over the weekend in the U.S. capital. 

D.C. police shut down a few streets over the weekend so filming could take place.

Constitution Hall and the White House are also among filming locations for the production.

The film will premiere next year.
