The West Coast’s tallest building, U.S. Bank Tower, announced plans to create an outdoor glass slide that will hang 1,000 feet above downtown Los Angeles.

The Skyslide, which is set to open this summer, will give riders a bird's eye view of the city while enjoying an exhilarating experience sliding between the 70th and 69th floors on 1.25-inch thick glass.

The slide is part of a massive revamp of the 72-story building.

It will also feature an open-air observation deck called OUE Skyspace L.A., where spectators can revel in 360-degree panorama views of the city as well as enjoy a restaurant on the deck.

Tickets for the Skyspace start at $25 and $8 for the slide. The space will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day.
