The charges stem from a shocking moment seen on his show, Cesar 911, when a bulldog named Simon attacked a potbellied pig. It bit the pig’s ear and left it bloodied.

Now Millan is speaking out, saying: "They are taking this the wrong way and blowing it way out of proportion,” according to the AP.

The cable network National Geographic Wild also released a clip showing how effective the “Dog Whisperer” is at his profession.

After Millan worked his magic, Simon the dog was much calmer and even walked with the pig it attacked.

Simon’s owner, Sandy, is throwing her full support behind Millan.

She told IE: "Cesar Millan has my absolute full support. There was absolutely no crime that took place during the filming."

More than 11,000 people have signed an online petition asking that the show be pulled off the air, claiming that Millan “used pigs as bait.” The incident is being probed by Los Angeles County Animal Control officials.

Nat Geo which airs Millan's show say it is confident he will be cleared of any wrongdoing and is cooperating with the animal welfare officials conducting the investigation.
