Man Arrested for Sex on Las Vegas Ferris Wheel Is Fatally Shot In Front of Fiancee

Philip Panzica, 27, was shot multiple times after he picked up his fiance from work at an adult entertainment club.

A Texas man who recently made headlines after being arrested for having sex on a Las Vegas Ferris wheel was fatally shot by two acquaintances in front of his fiancé and stole his car, officials said.

Philip Panzica, 27, was shot multiple times after he picked up his fiancé from work at an adult entertainment club about 5 a.m. Saturday in Houston, police said.

He was waiting in his car for his bride-to-be with Bryant Christopher Watts, 28, who allegedly told him “you need to come clean” before opening fire from the back seat, authorities said.

Watts and another man, identified as 31-year-old Aaron Jones, then allegedly jumped out of the car and dumped Panzica’s body on the side of the road.

It was not clear what Watts allegedly wanted Panzica to “come clean” about. He died at the scene.

Jones, who had also sitting in the back seat of the car after escorting Panzica’s fiancé to the vehicle, demanded that she get out of the car, officials said.

They took off with the woman’s purse still inside the car, leaving her to flag down a Metro bus for help, cops said.

Later that day, a Menard County sheriff's deputy saw a black Kia Sorrento matching Panzica’s car’s description speeding and chased the car for about 30 miles to Concho County, authorities said.

Watts allegedly admitted to his role in robbing and shooting Panzica.

He and Jones were arrested and charged in Panzica’s murder.

Panzica and Chloe Scordianos, 21, of Long Island, gained notoriety after they were arrested last month on suspicion of engaging in sexual activities on the High Roller Ferris wheel. Panzica was planning to marry another woman that day.

It is not clear if the woman identified as Panzica’s fiancé is the same woman he was engaged to when he was arrested in February.

He leaves behind a 3-year-old son, according to a GoFundMe page created to offset funeral costs.
