Kerrigan was famously attacked as she prepared for the Olympics in 1994.

It emerged that the attacker was hired by Harding's then husband, Jeff Gillooly, to break Kerrigan's leg. She only suffered bruises and went on to win the silver medal, while Harding came in eighth.

Harding claimed she only learned of the attack after it happened but admitted to obstructing the investigation. She was stripped of her 1994 nationals title and banned from the U.S. Figure Skating Association for life.
