Mariah Carey's ailing 54-year-old sister, Alison, has made a desperate public plea for help from her superstar sibling.

The shocking video appears on DailyMail.com and it comes after she says she was the victim of a home invasion.
“Mariah, I love you, and I desperately need your help. Please don't abandon me like this,” she said. “Please don’t abandon me.”
Alison says she is facing serious health issues including being HIV positive. She's also admittedly had a troubled life of drug addiction and a record of prostitution.
The home invasion happened last April and now she is in need of financial help after being in and out of the hospital.
IE interviewed her in 1995. The sisters were estranged even back then.
Alison said 21 years ago: "I love my sister, but she's broken my heart many times. I did have a family, I don’t anymore.”

Mariah is worth an estimated $510 million. She recently got engaged to billionaire businessman James Packer who gave her a $7 million engagement ring.
In response to the video, Mariah’s rep told The Daily Mail: “Through the years, Mariah has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars supporting Alison and her children. In fact, Mariah has supported her extended family for over two decades.”
