Bear Leads Cops On Wild Chase Across Busy Roads and A College Campus
A bear led Los Angeles police on a wild chase across a college campus and residential streets.
The two-year-old bear scaled fences, scurried down sidewalks and bolted across major intersections.
The animal was first spotted on the campus of Mission College, where frightened students and teachers were ordered to stay inside while authorities chased the bear.
The pursuit lasted two hours as the bear then dashed into residential neighborhoods.
Ultimately, wildlife officers shot the bear with tranquilizer darts and the animal passed out the lawn of a homeowner.
The 125-pound bear was later released into Angeles National Forest.
