Another race controversy from Donald Trump's past is now resurfacing.

The billionaire tycoon once considered pitting white contestants against black contestants on a season of his reality show The Apprentice.
In a newly unearthed audio of Trump on Howard Stern's radio show in 2005, he said: “It would be nine blacks against nine whites, all highly educated, very smart, strong, beautiful people, right?”
Stern's sidekick, Robin Quivers, said: "Well, I think you're gonna have a riot.”
Trump proclaimed “it would be the highest-rated show on television.”

Stern asked the real estate mogul: “Wouldn't that set off a racial war?”
"See, actually, I don't think it would," Trump declared. "I think that it would be handled very beautifully by me, cause you know, I’m very diplomatic."
Trump added: "I’m a sensitive person and I also think that you'd probably have 35 million people a night watching."
Nothing ever came of the idea.
Former Apprentice contestant Omarosa, who is supporting Trump for president, spoke to Inside Edition about the notion.
"I remember the firestorm after his interview with Howard Stern," Omarosa recalled. "Howard said it was a bad idea. Robin said it was a bad idea. NBC said it was a bad idea. I said it was a bad idea. What I liked is that he solicited advice. Clearly, nothing came of it."
