Oscar-Winner Meryl Streep Lands Her Toughest Role Yet: Donald Trump
Meryl Streep has delivered some of Hollywood’s most iconic performances, but her latest role may become the act of the year — or at least the election season.
The three-time Oscar winner parodied Donald Trump in full orange make-up, shaggy wig and blue suit made a surprise appearance at New York’s Delacorte Theater in Central Park Monday night for the annual Shakespeare in the Park Public Theater Gala.
Onstage, Streep was joined by her Mamma Mia! co-star Christine Baranski, who dressed up as Hillary Clinton.

The event occurred on the same night Hillary Clinton clinched the Democratic presidential nomination, according to an Associated Press tally, becoming the first woman to secure a presidential nomination for a major political party in the U.S.
