Traveling Piano Man Performs 'Imagine' at Dallas Police Headquarters Following Attack

The musician mysteriously turned up to play the John Lennon tune.

The globetrotting pianist, who has gained worldwide recognition playing John Lennon’s “Imagine” after horrific tragedies, performed Sunday evening at Dallas Police headquarters.

Davide Martello, also known as Klavierkunst, mysteriously showed up to the headquarters Sunday and performed the hit tune from the late Beatle.

Martello, who played the song in Paris following the November attacks on the city, tweeted he was going to Dallas to help “promote peace.”

The German musician set up his piano and did not say a word as he began to play, according to reports. Mourners were already in front of the headquarters paying respects to the five officers that were killed by gunman Micah Xavier Johnson Thursday as he attacked a protest rally in the city.

As Martello performed, civilians gathered around his piano and began singing along.
