Michelle Obama Wows in White at Star-Studded State Dinner
The first lady of both the U.S. and style stole the show with a strapless ivory gown custom-made by designer Brandon Maxwell.
The up-and-coming designer got his big break earlier this year when Lady Gaga wore one of his gowns at the Oscars. It was the first time Michelle Obama wore one of his dresses.
Maxwell, 31, who was out of the country on business, took to Instagram to share the proud moment with his team.
The black tie affair was the Obama’s 12th state dinner. The event marked the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations between the U.S. and Singapore.
Among the notable names at the event were The Americans co-stars and real life couple, Matthew Rhys and Kerri Russell.
Author Amy Tan and AOL CEO Tim Armstrong were also among the famous faces in attendance.
