Laurie Hernandez was destined for Olympic glory at a young age and this throwback video is proof.
The 16-year-old from New Brunswick, New Jersey, took home silver on Monday night, but a video that has resurfaced on Facebook shows how she was primed for success when she was just 8 years old.
The video, which has more than 2.1 million views, was posted four months ago but it has gained new popularity since Hernandez's introduction to the world on the Olympic stage. The video shows Hernandez killing her level 4 routine with sheer precision.
Before Hernandez and her Final Five teammate Simone Biles competed Monday, Biles shared a throwback photo on Twitter of the two girls hanging out as children.
