Britney Spears' Roller Coaster Life to Be Made Into Lifetime Movie... and It Doesn't Have Her Blessing

The film will cover her humble beginnings in Louisiana, and her tumultuous love life.

Britney Spears may only be 34 years old, but there's been plenty of drama to turn her story into a Lifetime movie.

Australian actress Natasha Bassett, who appeared in Hail, Caesar! earlier this year, will star as the pop princess in Britney, slated to air on the network next year.

Spears, who is currently performing a residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, is none too thrilled about the film.

"Britney Spears will not be contributing in any way, shape or form to the Lifetime biopic, nor does it have her blessing," her reps said in a statement.

The movie will depict the "... Baby One More Time” singer’s humble childhood in Louisiana, her years as a Mouseketeer with such future stars like Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling and Christina Aguilera.

It will also focus on her meteoric rise to superstardom.

The film is also expected to cover the lows of her life, including that shocking 2007 breakdown that saw her head shaved and a paparazzo's car attacked with an umbrella.

Aside from her career ups and downs, it will also document her relationship with Timberlake and failed marriages to Jason Alexander and Kevin Federline.

The news comes as the singer is set to release her ninth album, Glory, Friday.
