In the 45-second teaser, John Ramsey says: "We were the victims of a lynch mob by the media” as he, his wife, Patsy, and their son, Burke, were at one point persons of interest in the killing of 6-year-old JonBenet on Christmas 1996.

The trailer also shows detectives and other investigators who worked the case and will provide new theories about how the little girl died and shed light on evidence as they try to prove someone broke into the family’s Boulder, Colorado home.

The Killing of JonBenet: The Truth Uncovered airs Monday, September 5 on A&E. It is the latest in a series of JonBenet-related specials that will air this fall.

Dr. Phil McGraw will speak to Burke Ramsey in a three-part special on his show beginning September 12. It is the first time the 29-year-old has spoken publicly about his sister’s death.

TV projects about the murder mystery are also scheduled for the 20th anniversary of the girl’s death. A Lifetime movie entitled Who Killed JonBenet? will premiere later the fall.

Two documentaries are set to air later this month, one on Investigation Discovery called JonBenet: An American Murder Mystery, a three-part docu-series, and The Case Of: JonBenet Ramsey, a six-hour, three-part series on CBS.

The Ramsey family denied having anything to do with JonBenét’s death and were cleared as suspects in 2008, two years after Patsy Ramsey died following a 13-year battle with ovarian cancer.
