In a slew of Instagram posts, the only daughter of the late King of Pop said: "I don't understand how there can be so much hatred in the world right now. I got so much hatred that I tried to kill myself."

"I've tried sticking up for myself," she explained. "I’ve tried the whole blocking the haters thing, not reading the comments... Ignoring it. But it’s hard... when there’s so much of it."

The 18-year-old is wondering why she’s the target of internet trolls so often.

“I don’t get why I’m such an easy target," Jackson continued. "I try to be nice to everyone I meet; I give everyone a chance. I'm usually a very trusting person. I try to be open with you guys about what I do on a daily basis. I share my life with you — I don't hide a lot."

The videos were later deleted and replaced with a photo that is captioned: “Looks like I’m the villain now. Didn’t know defending myself was a crime."

She posted other photos with inspirational quotes and messages to herself and followers.

She said all of the trolling led to her reported 2013 suicide attempt which led her to stay off social media for two years.

When she returned, the environment she left hadn’t changed and continued harassment has caused her to speak out.
