Trump Suggests Disarming Clinton's Secret Service Detail: 'See What Happens'

Donald Trump has angered some with what appeared to be another suggestion about violence befalling his rival.

In what apeared to be yet another reference to violence and Hillary Clinton, Republican nominee Donald Trump made a sarcastic call for his rival's Secret Service detail to be stripped of their guns.

"I think that her bodyguards should drop all weapons. They should disarm, right?" Trump asked a crowd in Miami. "Take their guns away, she doesn't want guns. Take their - and let's see what happens to her. Take their guns away. OK, it would be very dangerous."

The reference to Clinton's stricter stance on gun control has some repeating the criticism made over another statement the billionaire made last month at a North Carolina rally.

"By the way, if she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks. Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is, I don't know," Trump said Aug. 9.

This time around, the Clinton campaign reacted quickly, much as they did the last time.

Trump "has a pattern of inciting people to violence. Whether this is done to provoke protesters at a rally or casually or even as a joke, it is an unacceptable quality in anyone seeking the job of Commander in Chief.

"This kind of talk should be out of bounds for a presidential candidate," Mook wrote.

The remark came hours after Trump held a press conference during which he disavowed his once very vocal support of the birther movement that claims President Obama was born outside of the United States.

Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961.

At the appearance in Washington, Trump said Obama was born in the United States but then he incorrectly suggested that the Clinton campaign had started the conspiracy theory, the AP reports.
