New Trump Hotel in D.C. Defaced with "Black Lives Matter" Graffiti

A man was caught on video spray-painting one of the entrances of the Trump hotel.

Donald Trump's new luxury hotel in downtown Washington, D.C. was vandalized when a man wrote messages related to the Black Lives Matter movement on its side entrance.

D.C. police said they responded to the Trump International Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue NW Saturday afternoon on a report of destruction of property.

When they arrived they found the words “Black Lives Matter” written in black spray paint. and "NO justice" and the word "peace" slashed out in red" on the hotel’s 12th street entrance. 

The grafitti was signed "Van" in red as well.

A video posted to Twitter captured a man in a yellow shirt writing the words on the building. He appears to put the spray paint back in his bag once he’s done and quickly walks away.

On Sunday, the words were covered up with pieces of plywood. Police have not yet identified any suspects.

The Trump International Hotel opened on September 12. Rooms in the hotel go for about $400 a night.
