Police Rescue Mom and Baby from Car Trapped in Hurricane Matthew Flood Waters
Fayetteville Police rescued a mother and her baby in the North Carolina flood waters caused by Hurricane Matthew.
In a video that has already gone viral, the baby boy is taken out of the car by his mom and handed to police as he cries, seemingly out of fear, on Saturday evening.
Police were driving around in a special military vehicle, able to drive through high waters, when they discovered the woman and child.
The mom reportedly told police that the driver left her along with the baby in the flooded car.
Emergency first-responders said that four people are unaccounted for in the city due to the floods.
Police were encouraging residents to stay inside and told residents Sunday that the roadways are still unsafe.
