Man Removed From Alaska Airlines Flight for Hooting 'Oooh, Sexy' at Female Flight Attendant
An airline passenger on his way to California over the weekend was removed from his flight for getting cheeky with a flight attendant.
The unnamed man was escorted off an Alaska Airlines flight bound for Burbank from Seattle Sunday.
According to a fellow flyer who documented the incident in a lengthy Facebook post, the man in question interrupted an important safety demonstration by yelling, "oooh, sexy!"
"Every woman I know has been through this kind of degrading experience," wrote Amber Nelson about the moments after the man made his remark. "We were trapped on a plane with a guy who clearly disrespected women and saw us as his own personal entertainment. We all looked expectantly at each other, what will we do?"
Thankfully for Nelson, she wouldn't have to do anything.
"Before we could do more than glare in his direction, the flight attendant removed her vest, purposely walked up to him and said, 'You need to be respectful,' and started to walk back to her task. He said, 'c'mon, I'm just playing with you!'" Nelson wrote.
The airline employee walked away, Nelson said, before convening with colleagues at the front of the plane in what she referred to as several "tense moments."
"[Then] we saw an affable-looking man board the plane and walk our way. The offensive man behind me started saying "I didn't do anything wrong! I didn't do anything wrong!" she wrote.
Nelson said the airline employee asked the man to gather his belongings and exit the plane.
"It was everything we could do to keep from applauding as he was led away," she wrote.
Nelson said she "felt honored" to be flying Alaska Airlines that day because they "supported their staff and those of us on board who were demeaned by another passenger."
In a statement emailed to InsideEdition.com, an Alaska Airlines spokesperson said everything occurred as described in Nelson's post.
"We can confirm that a male passenger was removed from flight 520 on Oct. 9 from Seattle to Burbank prior to departure. We stand behind the actions taken by our employees," the statement read.
