'Price Is Right' Contestants Spin a 3-Way Tie for the First Time in Game Show's History
Three contestants on "The Price Is Right" were jumping for joy after coming in a three-way tie for the first time in the game show's 44-year history.
In the "Showcase Showdown" round of the game show, three contestants spun the wheel marked with different amounts of money to score closest to $1.00 in no more than two spins without going over.
The first contestant hit the $1.00 mark in two spins.
Then, the second contestant spun the same amount.
From there, the contestants waited anxiously as the third spun the wheel, scoring exactly $1.00.
"Three way tie!" host Drew Carey exclaimed, pumping his fist in the air. "I don't know if that's ever happened."
Though three's a crowd, the trio embraced and jumped up and down in celebration of their big win.
All three contestants walked away with $1,000, but only one contestant ended up moving on to the next round, after they each spun the wheel again in a tie-breaker round.
