The Adelie penguin at the Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin exhibit, known as Wonder Twin, had experienced feather loss, hindering the cold-blooded animal's ability to regulate her own body temperature.

To help, Wonder Twin was fitted with a special wetsuit.

"It's going to keep her warm, especially in the water," said SeaWorld aviculturist TD Dray. "Penguins live almost three-quarters of their life in the water. And now with that wetsuit she's going to be in there and be able to keep warm."

SeaWorld said the wetsuit is supposed to mimic Wonder Twin’s natural coat. She can swim, sleep and do normal activities while wearing it.

Dray said: “We're hoping the wetsuit will be able to take the place of what the feathers would provide. Feathers aren't there. The wetsuit will be there. It's going to keep her warm, especially in the water.
