Girl, 11, Brings Note to School Saying Mom is Being Held Against Her Will

A Louisiana girl's note to school officials informed them that her mother was being held in a trailer.

A Louisiana girl helped rescue her mother — who was being held against her will — when the child took a note to school asking officials there for help.

Officials in East Feliciana Parish said the 11-year-old girl's mother implied in the note that she was allegedly being held captive by Donald Ray Guy, an acquaintance, and needed help.

"She couldn't leave. She needed someone to get her out of the situation and she couldn't talk on the phone," East Feliciana Parish Sheriff Jeff Travis told CNN.

Travis said the mother had been held for "at least a couple of weeks."

Deputies questioned the girl and rushed to the residence with a search warrant.

Inside, deputies reportedly found the mother and two of Guy's relatives. Guy was later found hiding in a closet, according to Travis.
