Criminal profiler Casey Jordan told Inside Edition: 'His mother always stood by him, never gave up on him and he felt like it was the last courteous thing he could do, out of love for his mother, and tell her face-to-face what he did."

After the request was granted, police say Kohlepp confessed to the long-unsolved massacre at a motorcycle shop 13 years ago.

The families of those killed at the motorcycle shop in Chesnee, South Carolina, were in court when Kohlhepp appeared before a judge in an unusual Sunday court hearing.

Melissa Brackman was pregnant when her husband, the owner of the bike shop, was killed.

“I look at this person and I see someone without a soul,” she told Inside Edition.

When she heard his confession, she said: “I was speechless for a second and then i had a million questions because I’ve had no answers for so long.”

Cops told Brackman that Kohlhepp's motive was that “he was a disgruntled customer. He was mad.”

Kohlhepp was taken back to his 100 acre property in South Carolina where he showed investigators where two other bodies are buried.

The break in the killing spree came when police found 30-year-old Kala Brown locked inside a padlocked container. She had been held there for two months where police said she was "chained like a dog."

Brown was an employee of Kohlepp, who is a realtor. She was asked to clean properties he was selling.

A friend of Brown’s says Kohlhepp had a strange name for his property, calling it "The Beach."

Kohlhepp wrote a Facebook message belittling missing persons cases.

"Reading the news, this person missing, that person missing, another person missing, oh, wait, that person just went to beach with friend," he said in the post.

Prior to being caught, the realtor also reportedly wrote an Amazon review for a knife, saying: “Haven’t (sic) stabbed anyone yet...... Yet.... But I am keeping the dream alive and when I do, it will be with a quality tool like this..."

He also wrote a review for a shovel, where he said: “Keep this in the car when you have to hide bodies.”
