Trump Tells Rally Tom Brady Voted For Him, but Wife Gisele Bundchen Denies Endorsement

Earlier in the campaign, the Patriots quarterback refused to publicly support Trump.

Donald Trump has claimed that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady called him up to say, "I voted for you" — but Brady's supermodel wife is telling a different story.

At a rally on the eve of the contentious election, Trump told a rally in New Hampshire that the NFL star has his back.

"He called today and he said, ‘Donald, I support you, you’re my friend, and I voted for you,'" Trump said Monday in the battleground state.

So, is the Brady household going all in for Trump? Not according to his supermodel wife. Gisele Bündchen responded in no uncertain terms to that very question from an Instagram follower Friday.

"Gisele I heard you and Tom were backing Trump! Is that true??" the follower asked. Gisele responded: "NO!"

But, as CNN points out, Brady said in a Monday interview with WEEI that he'd not yet voted and planned to do so either later that day or on Election Day.

To vote Monday, however, Brady would have had to mail in an absentee ballot because early voting ended Friday in the state of Massachusetts.

Nonetheless, Trump continued to detail at the rally his conversation with Brady.

"And I said, ‘So Tom. You voted for me, you support me. Am I allowed to say it tonight at this massive crowd in New Hampshire?' He said, ‘If you want to say it, you can say it.’ Okay? Tom, that’s what a champ is all about," Trump said.

Trump went on to include that he has the support of Bill Belichick, reading a letter he said was written by the longtime Patriots coach.

The letter read:

"Congratulations on a tremendous campaign. You have dealt with an unbelievable slanted and negative media, and have come out beautifully – beautifully. You’ve proved to be the ultimate competitor and fighter. Your leadership is amazing.

"I have always had tremendous respect for you, but the toughness and perseverance you have displayed over the past year is remarkable. Hopefully tomorrow’s election results will give the opportunity to make America great again. Best wishes for great results tomorrow."

Trump's appeal to New Englanders using homegrown heroes came just hours before the polls opened in New Hampshire and nationwide.

Reps for the Patriots have so far declined to comment on Trump's speech.
