All This 2-Year-Old Girl With Cancer Wants For Christmas is 500 Holiday Cards

When Kaydence, 2, and her older sister, 4, asked for 500 Christmas cards, her aunt said, "I just couldn't say no. I wanted to see them happy.

Little Kaydence Weaver brings so much joy to other people that her aunt now hopes others can bring a little joy to her.

The 2-year-old girl, who was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, or cancer in the soft tissue, in July, is hoping for 500 cards this Christmas.

The toddler from Noblesville, Indiana has been in and out of the hospital since, either going through chemotherapy treatments, doctors appointments, or even overnight visits when her condition gets worse.

“She doesn’t understand,” her aunt, Misty Deavers, told InsideEdition.com. “She keeps vomiting. Doctors say she is 60 percent curable and it could come back, [but] as long as she’s been doing her treatments, she has a smile on her face. She makes everybody so happy.”

To keep her distracted through treatments, Deavers started telling the toddler about another little boy, who asked for get well cards as he was going through treatment.

That’s when Kaydence and her 4-year-old sister Salem exclaimed, “I want 500 Christmas cards!”

“Of course, I couldn’t say no to them,” Deavers said. “I just couldn’t because I wanted to see them happy.”

Deavers said she has since shared her nieces’ wishes on social media, and even though they haven’t yet received any cards for the holidays, she hopes Kaydence will receive her goal of 500 Christmas cards, just in time for the next leg of her treatment.

“We think she will be a survivor,” Deavers said. “She has been so strong.”
