Couple Who Met Online Before Discovering They Were Preschool Sweethearts Get Married

Amy and Justin met on Match.com, but their courtship actually began many years before.

The Florida couple who met online only to discover they were once preschool sweethearts have tied the knot.

The courtship of Justin Pounders and Amy Giberson seems like something right out of a fairy tale.

They met on Match.com in 2014 and they got the shock of their lives when they realized they had been preschool sweethearts in St. Petersburg, 30 years prior.

The couple got married Friday in St. Petersburg at the Mahaffey Theater. Michelle Collins, a former host on The View served as the officiant.

"I consider myself lucky to find you both times," Pounders told his wife at the ceremony.

“I love you so much and thank you for making me your wife," she said as they exchanged vows.

In 2015, they sat down with Inside Edition, describing how they made the connection that they knew each other in the past. They talked about being from the same town in Florida, and then discovered they grew up in the same neighborhood.

“I remember having a crush on a girl named Amy in preschool,” Pounders said.

“I honesty never thought it was me,” Giberson said.
