Spears' reps have said the film does not have her blessing, and she did not contribute in any way.

Australian actress Natasha Bassett who starred in the Coen Brothers’ Hail Ceaser! plays the “... Baby One More Time” singer.

“I remember practicing her songs in the mirror with a fake microphone. I never thought that I would be playing her a few years later,” she told Inside Edition from the film’s set in Vancouver.

Playing Spears was quite a challenge for the actress, as the actress said: “I have never danced or sung in my life.”

The movie portrays Spears’ high and low points including the tabloid field day in 2007 when she shaved her head and swung an umbrella at photographers.

The unauthorized project is without the “I’m a Slave 4 U” singer’s blessing. Her rep says “Britney Spears will not be contributing in any way, shape or form to the lifetime biopic, nor does it have her blessing."

But Bassett says Spears might like the movie if she watched it, saying, "I just have so much respect for her and her career."

The film's other actors have been made up to look just like everyone in the singer’s life.

Nathan Keyes portrays a young Justin Timberlake and Nicole Oliver will be Spears' mother Lynne.

Oliver told Inside Edition that the film is “all about triumph."

"Triumph over your personal demons, societal demons, and it’s a great feeling story,” she said.
