That Sinking Feline: Police Officer Saves Cat Stuck in Garage Door

It's not clear how long the kitty had been stuck.

It appears this cat used one of its nine lives when it became stuck in a garage door, but it came out unharmed thanks to the heroics of a Louisiana police officer.

The cop responded to the call of a cat being stuck at a residence in Ascension Parish, and he was shocked by what he saw.

The cat had apparently become trapped while its owner was not at home.

"Never in all of my years was I prepared to encounter what I saw upon my arrival,” Deputy Mike Scott said.

In a picture captured of the scene, the cat's lower half hangs outside of the garage door while its front half stuck on the other side.

"The neighbors were very helpful as we cautiously removed the upper frame molding that allowed some space for us to remove the cat,” he said. “With a joint effort with neighbors, we were able to remove the cat alive.”

Miraculously, Bella the cat was not injured.

"I am not much of a cat person, but no one wants to see an animal suffer," Deputy Scott said. “I was happy that I could save the homeowner’s cat. Thank God for miracles and good neighbors."
