Gatlinburg, Tennessee, has long been a major bridal destination, with more than a dozen wedding chapels, but the town was devastated by the inferno, which consumed most of the area near Dolly Parton’s famed Dollywood theme park.

Now, some couples are proving that although the fires wreaked havoc, love can rise from the ashes.

One wedding landmark — Cupid's Chapel of Love — burned to the ground.

"By the time I got to it, it was rubble," Chapel of Love owner Guy Jacobs told Inside Edition. 'I couldn't believe there was nothing left.”

Fortunately, he owns another wedding location in in town, The Chapel at the Park.

One couple, Brittani and Nick Steadman, drove 10 hours from St. Louis to marry there. They say their hearts broke for the families left homeless by the fires.

“I felt guilty, I’m worrying about my wedding but at the same time I felt like I need to think of them and the things they're losing,” she told Inside Edition.
