“I work a minimum wage job. I have two kids and I do it by myself. I just wanted to make sure that if I needed to take time off work if something comes up, I am not going to lose my home,” Knaack told InsideEdition.com.

Knack, 29, used most of her $5600 tax return to pay her rent for the next 11 months.

She used the extra few hundred to take her 2-year-old and 4-month-old out for a fun day.

“I know that a roof over my kids head is what's important. My kids don't want for anything because my priorities are straight,” Knaack wrote on the post that has been shared almost 150,000 times.

Knaack is also a recovering addict who wanted to spread hope that it’s possible to start over.
