In the photo that went viral Monday afternoon, the counselor to President Trump is seen kneeling on the sofa looking at her phone with her shoes on. In the background are the presidents of historically black colleges and universities, posing with Trump.

The internet was quick to bash Conway.

“Classless…disgraceful,” was one post on social media.

"Tacky, didn't your mom teach you to keep your shoes off the couch?" read another.

The backlash was not limited to the web, as even newspapers offered reactions to the image.

"I have so many questions about this photo, but chief among them is why nobody is telling Kellyanne Conway to get her damn feet off the couch," Chicago Tribune columnist Rex Huppke tweeted.

Other photos in the sequence have given insight into what the presidential aide was up to. She's in that odd position because she's poised to take a photo of the distinguished group.

'The Kellyanne Conway on the Couch Controversy Is So Incredibly Dumb," blared a headline in The Washington Post.

Meanwhile, the eyes of the world will be watching the president speak before a joint session of congress for the first time Tuesday night.

He previewed his speech on Fox & Friends Tuesday morning while pointing a finger at former President Obama for some of his controversies that have plagued Trump's first month in office.

He blamed Obama for the recent protests and leaks that have come out his administration since taking over in January.

"I think that President Obama’s behind it because his people are certainly behind it," Trump said. "And some of the leaks possibly come from that group, you know, some of the leaks — which are very serious leaks, because they’re very bad in terms of national security."
