At a press conference Wednesday with famed attorney Lisa Bloom, Barton claimed a sex tape is being shopped around to the highest bidder.

"I have been put through an incredibly hard and trying time. This is a painful situation and my absolute worst fear is realized when I thought someone who I loved and trusted was filming my most intimate and private moments without my consent and with hidden cameras," she said. "Then I learned something even worse that someone is trying to sell these videos and make them public."

Bloom, who is representing Barton, said: "We consider this a form of domestic abuse. If you continue, we will find you, come after you and bring you to justice to fullest extent possible. You have been warned, you proceed at your peril."

Barton obtained a court order to stop the sale of the tape.

Following the press conference, Bloom tweeted: "Every woman has a right to choose which images of her own body will be made public."

Kevin Blatt, who helped broker the Paris Hilton sex tape, says he was actually offered the explicit video.

"I feel horribly for Mischa, he told Inside Edition. "That is why, in this case, I told these people to not do anything with this tape."

The sex tape is reportedly being offered to a number of online porn sites with the starting bid of $500 million.

Bloom broke the news on Twitter Tuesday, i

“It has been reported that naked or sexually explicit images of Ms. Barton are being 'shopped around,'" Barton tweeted. "Ms. Barton does not consent to any disclosure of any such images. She believes that she was recorded without her consent by someone she was seeing at the time."

The ex-boyfriend who is peddling the tape has not been identified. Revenge porn is a crime in California. Anyone convicted of the misdemeanor faces six months in jail and a fine of $1,000.
