Romanieo Golphin Jr. loves playing with Legos, and also engages in more complicated hobbies.

“I'm building a methoxy,” he told Inside Edition.

If you don't know what he's talking about, you're not alone. When he notices a statue made with copper at the Brooklyn Museum in New York, he exclaimed, “I also know the electron configuration for copper, which is 1s2, 2s2, 2p6, 3s2, 3p6, 4s1, 3d10.”

“You are 100 percent correct,” said his proud dad.

Inside Edition’s fact checkers confirmed that his electron configuration was, indeed, correct.

His parents, Cheri and Romanieo Sr., knew early on their only son was special. At age 2, he was discussing chemistry at breakfast.

Science isn't his only strength – he's also got perfect pitch. He showed IE his ability to name a chord that had been played on the piano, without having to look at the keys.

“I've never seen a 7-year-old do stuff like this,” one woman remarked.

"I don't think we've come to a full understanding of his level of genius," said his dad.
