Beyhive Accuses Beyonce's Dad of Stealing Her Thunder After Revealing Birth of Twins on Social Media

There has not yet been an official announcement from Beyonce or Jay Z.

Beyonce's lips may be sealed on the birth of her twins, but that hasn't stopped her dad from letting loose about the new additions.

"They're here! #beyonce #twins #jayz #happybirthday," Mathew Knowles posted on Instagram and Twitter.

Now, Beyonce’s fans, known as the Beyhive, are furious, accusing the grandfather of stealing his daughter’s thunder.

“That was for Beyoncé to tell not you,” one tweet read.

“Just had to ruin it for Bey,” was another.

The “XO” singer’s fans have been waiting for an official announcement from the entertainer.

Beyonce’s mother, Tina, gave her ex-husband’s post a seal of approval by liking it, which suggests the family is fine with him sharing the news.

Meanwhile, sources say the “Halo” singer gave birth to a boy and girl.

“Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends," People magazine reported, citing a source.

One outlet has reported that Beyonce actually gave birth a week ago, but no official comment was made because there may have been a "minor medical issue."

Dr. Jennifer Ashton, a board certified OBGYN, said such complications would not be unusual in the delivery.

"Even though plenty of people have twins and it is relatively common, it is still considered a high-risk pregnancy,” she told Inside Edition. “It is multiple gestations; there are higher rates of pre-term delivery."

After it was revealed that Beyonce and Jay Z had twins, the rapper announced on Father's Day that he will be releasing a new album called 4:44 on his Tidal streaming service at the end of the month.

The “Heart of the City” rapper also changed the typography of his name to JAY-Z, returning the hyphen to his label after removing it four years ago during the release of his last record, Magna Carta Holy Grail.
