Baby Sea Otter Found Swimming Alone in Open Water, Rescued by Boaters

A baby sea otter was rescued after he was found swimming alone in open water just weeks after being born.

A baby sea otter is lucky to be alive after the poor pup was found alone in open water at just a few weeks old.

The small creature, which has not yet been named, is currently receiving around-the-clock care.

Boaters rescued the newborn off northern Vancouver Island and sent him to the Vancouver Aquarium Rescue Center this past weekend.

Staffers at the facility are busy feeding, grooming, and bathing the pup. Meanwhile, the little sea otter is busy swimming more than 10 times a day for exercise.

The aquarium's rescue center said the newborn is healthy but they will continue to provide love and attention to the little otter.
