Girl, 4, Dies Days After Drowning in Lake at Campground

A 4-year-old girl has died, four days after she was pulled from a New Jersey lake where she had been swimming, officials said.

Little Kaylin Pahulick, of Levittown, Pa., was rescued from the water at the Lake & Shore RV Resort in Ocean View at about 1 p.m. Thursday, State Police told InsideEdition.com.

Kaylin was rushed to Regional Medical Center, where medics were able to regain her pulse.

The little girl was later transferred to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, but she was pronounced dead at about 2:30 a.m. Monday, authorities said.

Devastated friends and family took to social media to mourn and memorialize the little girl after her death, with many changing their Facebook profile pictures to a block of red, Kaylin’s favorite color.

“Shine bright, angel,” one loved one wrote.

A police spokesman said it was not immediately clear what led to Kaylin’s drowning and said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Kaylin had reportedly been swimming with a group of friends and when the other children got out of the water, she was not with them.

She was taken out of the water before emergency responders arrived on the scene, WKXW-FM reported.

The lake is unguarded and is divided into areas for swimming and fishing.
