A gospel singer at a Texas shelter offering refuge for Hurricane Harvey flood victims has given an impromptu concert to spread goodwill after such a tragic turn of events.

The flame of hope cannot be drowned after Victoria White began singing gospel songs to evacuees at the Lone Star Expo Center on Tuesday night.

The woman’s powerful voice went viral after people inside the center posted her performance on social media.

The viral video has more than 8 million views, 282,000 shares, and 123,000 likes.

On Wednesday, White took to Facebook to express her gratitude of becoming an internet sensation.

"THE GOSPEL IS GOING VIRAL!!! This blows me AWAY (and that's no easy task)! I had no idea this was being recorded, but God had a plan!" she wrote. "Not only did He want to Love on those gathered in Lonestar Expo Center who suffered loss at the hands of Hurricane Harvey, but He wanted to love on people across the world who were dealing with their own personal storms!!! That's the kind of loving God we serve — the kind who is EQUALLY concerned for the masses AND the individual! His LOVE REACHES!!!"

She also encouraged her supporters to help the victims of Harvey has much as they can.
