Jason Aldean Joins Unfortunate List of Artists Associated With a Violent Tragedy

Aldean, who's one of country music's best-selling artists, joins the likes of Ariana Grande and Eagles of Death Metal.

Jason Aldean has joined the list of entertainers who will forever be associated with a grim event at a concert.

He joins Ariana Grande, who was performing a show at the Manchester Arena in England five months ago when 22 people were killed in a terror attack.

In 2015, 90 people were killed when terrorists opened fire at a concert at the Bataclan theater in Paris as American rock and roll band Eagles of Death Metal performed inside.

"Pray for Las Vegas," Jason Aldean posted on Instagram. "Tonight has been beyond horrific."

Aldean is one of country music's top-selling singers. He was named “Entertainer of the Year” two years in a row at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

In 2014, he announced his engagement to former American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr. They married in 2015 and she is expecting the couple’s first child, a baby boy, due next month.

Kerr also sent out a heartfelt message on social media, saying, “We are safe... our angels were definitely watching over us tonight. No words for what happened... Just horrific. Praying for everyone.”

Ariana Grande tweeted: “My heart is breaking for Las Vegas. We need love, unity, peace, gun control & for people to look at this & call this what it is = terrorism.”
