The mother of missing baby Lisa Irwin has been questioned by police and maintains her innocence in her daughter's disappearance. Now, a family member says the mother's arrest is inevitable. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
She's about to be arrested. That's the stunning news today from the family of Deborah Bradley, the mother of missing 10-month-old Lisa Irwin.
Appearing on Good Morning America, Bradley's sister-in-law, Ashley Irwin was asked, "Do you think Deborah may be facing an arrest?"
"Probably, to be real honest with you, yes," replied Ashley.
"Do you think it's inevitable?" asked the correspondent.
"Yeah, kind of," replied Ashley.
She said the mom was actually preparing to be arrested. But the sister-in-law stressed that she does not think Bradley was involved in baby Lisa's disappearance.
"It's what the police do. They don't have any leads so they have to pin it on somebody," said Ashley.
A police spokesman denied the mom was being made a scapegoat.
"It's an absurd notion. It's not how business is done. A case is put together based on facts and evidence and that obviously isn't going to change today," said the police spokesman.
On Tuesday, police searched a well at a vacant house close to the couple's home in Kansas City. And they're reviewing surveillance footage from stores nearby. Cops have also asked local TV news stations for raw footage of their interviews with the embattled couple. Authorities are said to be looking for inconsistencies in the answers.
Both Bradley and the girl's father, Jeremy Irwin, have said they were not involved in their daughter's disappearance.
