We're now hearing from Gina O'Toole, the hockey mom the entire nation is talking about after she stormed the ice—wearing a pink jacket and clutching a handbag—to stop a fight at her son's game.
"What do you say to all the people across America who believe you are just some crazy hockey mom who stormed the ice?" asked INSIDE EDITION's Paul Boyd.
"I don't feel like I'm a crazy hockey mom, I'm a passionate hockey mom," replied O'Toole.
O'Toole was caught on tape pointing her finger and yelling at a referee who she thought wasn't doing enough to break up a fight at a youth hockey tournament in suburban Boston.
"All the parents were screaming, you know, 'Stop it!'" said O'Toole.
O'Toole's 16-year-old son Mark was involved in the melee that had been going on for more than a minute, when the hockey mom literally jumped into the action.
"I just found myself on the ice, and I was like, 'Hey, you need to get control of this game,' and I said, 'You need to do your job,'" said O'Toole.
In the video, you can see the ref yelling back at her—along with some fans in the stands.
"Get off the ice!" yelled one fan.
"What do you think when you look at the video and you see yourself with that pink sweater and that purse marching out on the ice?" asked Boyd.
"I think it's a little funny," said O'Toole.
"You've been a hockey mom for 12 years," said Boyd. "Have you ever done anything like this before?"
"Never, never in my life," replied O'Toole.
The fight stopped as soon as the hockey mom took matters into her own hands. Her son Mark told Boyd that, at first, he didn't realize it was his own mom out there.
"I didn't know until I got back on the bench and everyone was giggling," said Mark.
"What did they say to you?" asked Boyd.
"They said a mom's on the ice and I said, 'Must have been mine,'" said Mark.
In a poll on the INSIDE EDITION website, 50% voted "Yes," and 50% voted "No" when asked if the hockey mom was right to walk on the ice to break up the fight.
Her son says he's not embarrassed by all the attention the world's number one hockey mom is now receiving.
"I'm not mad at all, but I hope she never does that again!" said Mark.
