Woman Snuggles Up to Make a Living

Imagine making a living snuggling up next to someone. INSIDE EDITION spoke with a woman who charges perfect strangers to crawl into bed with her and cuddle.

A man and woman cuddling together would look like any ordinary couple sleeping peacefully in bed.

But, one woman is actually a professional snuggler. Jackie Samuel charges $60 an hour. In return, complete strangers can snuggle up next to her in bed. Even women enjoy cuddling with Samuel.

“People definitely tell me that they feel calmer and more connected afterwards,” Samuel told INSIDE EDITION.

The 29-year-old has started a company, The Snuggery, with the slogan, "Take a break. Have a snuggle."

Her clients range in age from 18 to 83.

The single mom who lives near Rochester, New York, says there's absolutely no hanky-panky, and every client is carefully screened.

The day INSIDE EDITION visited Samuel, she was going over snuggling session boundaries with Jon Heusel.

“I don't like being touched anywhere covered by undergarments. I would do the same for you,” Samuel told Heusel.

Samuel lit a candle and turned on soft music to create an intimate setting.

“Would you prefer to spoon?”, Samuel asked Heusel.

"I would love to spoon," Heusel said.

The two got in bed, and cozied up with each other. It was Heusel's third time nuzzling with Samuel.

“I travel a lot, it's nice to come home and have that snuggle buddy that's always there,” said Heusel.

But, Samuel's business is not without controversy. She's received nasty emails, some even calling her a prostitute.

But Samuel’s response is, “If you don't like to do it, then don't cuddle with me.”
