Sarah Palin's E-Mail Hacker on Trial

There was a snarky wise crack from the guy on trial for hacking into Sarah Palin's personal e-mail account.

As David Kernell left a courthouse in Knoxville, he was asked about Bristol Palin, who took the stand to testify against him.

"What did you think of Bristol Palin?" a reporter asked.

The 22-year-old turned back to the microphone with a smirk and said, "She's not my type."

Kernell's lawyer glared at his client with apparent contempt and frustration.

Bristol told jurors that she was terrified after Kernell allegedly posted her cell phone number online. Bristol was pregnant at the time and says she began receiving hundreds of threatening phone calls and text messages. One caller even told her they "were waiting for her outside."

Kernell, who was an economics major at the University of Tennessee, says going into Palin's e-mail was "just a prank."

INSIDE EDITION caught up with Kernell outside court Thursday, but this time he kept quiet. It's likely he was instructed not to make another off-the-cuff crack again.
