Edward Snowden Leaves Behind Pole Dancing Girlfriend

On the run for leaking information on government spying, Edward Snowden leaves behind a tearful, pole-dancing girlfriend. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.

She's the sexy live-in girlfriend of the man who exposed details of America's super-secret surveillance program.

Lindsay Mills is a pole dancer who used her classical training in ballet for some eye-popping dance routines. She dated 29-year-old Edward Snowden for at least the last four years and published reports say they were head-over-heels in love and had planned to marry. Now, those dreams may be shattered. He's on the run from U.S authorities.

Lindsay Mills detailed her life with Snowden in a blog called "L's Journey."

She called him her "man of mystery" and "elusive." She illustrated her blog with provocative performance videos.

In her final blog entry, posted just yesterday after Snowden went public as the whistleblower, Mills wrote: "My world has opened and closed all at once. Leaving me lost at sea without a compass. All I can feel is alone."

She seems to be in hiding as well.

"As I type this on my tear-streaked keyboard, I'm reflecting on the ones I never got to bid adieu. But sometimes life doesn't afford proper goodbyes."

And just yesterday, she tweeted about deleting the entire blog: "To delete or not delete. That is the question."

Mills and Snowden lived together in a rented house in Hawaii for several months.

Where is he today? Snowden may be heading for Iceland, where lawmakers say they'd consider granting him asylum. Russian President Vladimir Putin said he would consider giving him asylum too.

Some see Snowden as a hero, others a villain. The New York Post is calling him a "Spoiled brat dropout Benedict Arnold."

And House speaker John Boehner says Snowden is putting American lives at risk.

"He's a traitor," said Boehner.

The late night comics have their own take.

David Letterman joked, "He said he didn't want to live in a society where the government monitors its people. Then he fled to China."
