High Speed Treadmill Tests Fittest Of The Fit

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Robert Gill has everyone trying to catch up to his 25 mile-per-hour treadmill run, and INSIDE EDITION's Diane McInerney gave it a shot.

Robert Gill runs a mind-blowing 25 miles per hour on the treadmill.

Gill, a wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals, is literally burning rubber. He goes from zero to 25 in an instant. His legs move so fast they are a blur.

INSIDE EDITION's Diane McInerney met up with Gill at Crunch gym in New York City.

"You go 25 miles per hour? That is fast! What did it feel like going that fast?' asked McInerney.

"At first, I felt good, but it catches up to you real quick, so you have to know when to jump off," said Gill.

McInerney gave it a try.

It wasn't just any treadmill. Gill reached his incredible speed on a "super treadmill" which allows you to go up to 25 miles per hour. McInerney didn't get anywhere near 25 miles per hour.

Now, everybody's trying it. Ex-NFL star Chad Ochocinco did a high speed treadmill run of his own. He ran 24 miles per hour.

But think twice before you consider trying this. INSIDE EDITION found many videos posted on YouTube where runners tried, and failed miserably.

So, let's just leave the high speed runs up to the pros.

Later this month Robert Gill is hosting a youth football camp in San Antonio. All the proceeds will go to the fallen firefighters in Arizona. For more information go to robertgill.eventbrite.com.
