Sydney Leathers Goes Under The Knife

Airdate: 09/03/2013

Sydney Leathers was the woman whose sexting scandal with Anthony Weiner threatened to derail his dream of becoming Mayor of New York City.

INSIDE EDITION went with Leathers as she embarked upon a total body makeover, all in one day.

Dr. Matthew Schulman prepared to perform liposuction on Leathers' midsection. She also got breast augmentation.

Dr. Schulman told Leathers, "We're going to go from a C cup to a full D cup."

Dr. Richard Westreich gave her a nose job. He said, “We're going to take down this bump a little."

Leathers gave us a thumbs-up as the procedures got underway.

First came the implants—a procedure that took an hour-and-a-half. Next was the liposuction, where nearly five pounds of fat was removed. Finally, came the nose job.

In total, the 23-year-old college student spent five hours under the knife.

A week later, Leathers returned for a checkup and to check out her new look.

First up, was the nose. When Dr. Westreich took off her bandages, she said, "Oh, I love it! It's perfect!"

Then, the rest of the makeover was revealed showing larger breasts and a slimmed-down waist.

She said, "Once the swelling is gone and I can exercise and do all that, it'll be better."

And for the finishing touch, dentist Shawn Sadri whitened Leathers' teeth.

She said, "I’m really happy."

INSIDE EDITION’s Jim Moret asked Leathers, "What's your favorite part after the surgery?"

"My new boobs," she replied.

But you can't make over the past. and even though she's totally changed her outer appearance, Leathers insists she's the same person on the inside.

"The same, but new and improved," she said.
